NSW: Man charged after shooting

A man will face a Sydney court today after a shooting incident which left another man
in hospital.

Police say a 34-year-old man from Smithfield, in Sydney's west, suffered a gunshot
wound during an incident at a business premises on Forge Street, Blacktown, about 6.30pm
(AEDT) last night.

He was taken to Westmead Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

A 47-year-old Smithfield man later surrendered to police.

He was charged with shooting with intent to murder and will face Parramatta Bail Court today.
